Sorry about the title of this post. Couldn't think of anything else. Anyway, to the point here ladies and gentlemen (!). I know for a fact that I have at least one male reader apart from Martin and Wille who are stalking my blog from the south of Sweden. Hi Josh!
What you see above is actually a doorstopper. Our house and in fact the whole neighborhood was developed on clay ground back in the 1930's. Besides from roses thriving and digging being hard work it also means that our house tilts slightly towards the road. I guess the foundations have slid a little bit in the past seventy years.
For us on a day to day basis it means some of our doors just won't stay shut unless properly closed. The weird thing is that it's exactly the doors to the spaces you want to be slightly private, like in this photo, the bathroom downstairs. We have the extact same situation with the door of the tiny upstairs bathroom. Weird because the door to the basement right next to it is ok.

Since we shower in the downtairs bathroom we want the door ajar for ventilation, but not swung completetly open. My elephants do an excellent job!
I simply drop them on the floor and the door stays put.
I sewed a little bag with a loop inserted as I was stitching it close at the top. Inside is a ziplock bag filled with sand. So simple and so useful.
