For all those little occasions during the year when a small gift is needed I dive into my diningroom cabinet. In there at the bottom of the nook to the right I keep a small plastic chest of drawers.
In one of the drawers I keep little purses, pouches and bags. I get a lot of them from work, they're mostly discarded samples. I also get quite a few on my trips to China.
One drawer contains little trinket- and jewelry boxes, again samples and foreign buys.
The last drawer contains the gifts themselves. At the moment there are little Easter bunnies, a pencil case, a lip balm, two belts, several cute sets writing paper and envelopes, some swizzel sticks, crafted match boxes, some jewelry, a few key rings etc.
The little stackable chest is my saviour when suddenly realising there will be a little girl at the dinner party we're going to or when I 've forgotten about the teacher's gift or need a little something to cheer up the neighbor's kids. I get one of the little fun boxes and a pretty pink necklace or a cute pouch with a key ring inside and am all set.
I have to admit there are a few regift items in there too. Nothing major though. The lip balm was part of a swap I received but vanilla flavoured "Chicks Rule" lipbalm is not really my thing. I'm not sure if I'll ever find the perfect recipient for that...
