Storage room

 
1998

Here's our storage room back on viewing day. A lot of what was in there as actually left after we moved in. The step ladded is still in use in the garage, that cabinet sat in the boatroom painted white for many years until we sold it, the baskets and stool are still in use.

2009

Shortly after we moved in a whole metal shelving system was tossed out at Martins former work place. We were extatic as it was just what we needed. We assembled it along one wall in the storage room and it now houses holiday decor, Wille's old toys etc etc.

Garage / Workshop

1998

The garage was pink! Can you believe it? A family of one female and three male having a pink garage?! They must all have been very much in tune with their feminine sides although I doubt it, having actually met them.

 
2004

I painted the walls and ceiling white and we started out with just organizing a little bit but keeping the old kitchen cabinets as storage for paints etc.

 
2009

After a while it became apparent that it would be really useful with a more solid work bench at the far end and some proper storage and organization. Today it's a really functional space. This is where we do most of our DIY.

Garage doors

I started many years ago to strip the garage goors from paint and old wallpaper from the center panel but didn't get further than this...

...until this summer when I finally got it done! Yay! It's such a huge difference and although it's "just" the garage it's a joy to see the newly painted doors. Stuff like that makes me so happy!
